19th-Jan-2008 12:02 pm - DS games I own and how much they've been played

This is in no particular order. Most of these have been dropped due to my high frustration level and poor gamer skills. ^^;;

New Super Mario Bros. - Took me a long time to get past 1-1. After I realized I didn't get a save point till 1-8, I stopped.

Mario Kart DS - I play this quite a bit when I'm with friends, but rarely on my own. Have gotten about halfway through 100cc before hitting my skill ceiling. Can't power slide.

Brain Age - Played a bit, mostly for the sudoku.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Completed.

Phoenix Wright: And Justice for All - Completed.

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations - Completed.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 - Got about halfway through. Should really get back to it.

Osu! Takate! Ouendan! - About 7 into Easy, hit skill ceiling. Should try again sometime.

Osu! Takate! Ouendan! 2 - About 3 into Easy, just dropped it because I got something else. Should get back to it.

Elite Beat Agents - Stuck on Jumpin' Jack Flash on Easy, haven't gotten back to it.

Nodame Cantabile DS - Doing OK when I can find the right game, running into 'can't read Japanese' barrier.

Lego Star Wars II - Bad at this, dropped very quickly.

New York Times Crosswords - Good for long trips, though they are HARD and frustrating.

Nervous Brickdown - Got to about level 3-7, got frustrated. Arkanoid DS is better.

Duck Amuck - Got buried behind PW3. I should get back to this.

Arkanoid DS - Tremendous fun, and I can even get through most of it, though not without some frustration (damn you, Y-4!). Apparently has a new set of unlockable levels once you clear the entire first set, but I'm not there yet. Also, wifi. Import this. With paddle. :)

Clubhouse Games - The gold standard. Easily game played most often, always on long trips. Mahjong Solitaire, Koi Koi and Seven Bridge are my top 3. Everyone who has a DS should have this.

My French Coach - My newest acquisition. Trying to do 2 lessons a day, I'm up to lesson 27. Very good at drilling vocab. Not as good on sentence structure. Still working on it, there's apparently a lot more I haven't gotten to.

That's it, I think, unless I've forgotten something obvious. Not sure if there's anything coming soon I'm interested in. Ubisoft has 'My Life Coach', which sounds disturbingly like a self-help game. Looking at Space Invaders import, it seems to be too hard for my skills.
